When Charlie, who had been looking into reality-altering magic, claimed he'd found a powerful spell that could give the three of them girlfriends, Sam and Matthew were instantly on board. However, with more complex spells like what Charlie was attempting, the law could act something like a monkey's paw.
The three roommates had met in the library where Charlie could find the book he needed for the spell.
